We are overwhelmed! Rancocas Valley Regional High School, located in Mt. Holly, New Jersey, has pledged nearly $5,000 to Athletes C.A.R.E. as part of their Red and White Night event. This month long series of events and competitions that allows students to come together as a school and as a community. As part of the competition, the Red Team and White Team compete to raise the most money for a charity or cause selected by the team’s captains. These amazing individuals chose to donate to our organization, raising a total of close to $5,000 for our cause. We could not be more thankful for their amazing act of kindness – you have all made an immense impact on the lives of so many, while helping us in the fight against hunger, homelessness, and poverty. Thank you again!
Athletes C.A.R.E. is pleased to announce our first official branch of the organization at Stevens Institute of Technology. After talks with various student-athletes at Stevens, we have decided to engage in a partnership that will allow the student-athletes of Stevens to follow our lead and engage in our community service projects, fundraisers, donation drives, and the like. Our missions will be the same, and they will be carrying out the work of the organization at Stevens and in the surrounding community in hopes of spreading our reach and expanding the influence of the Athletes C.A.R.E. organization.
Cannot thank the individuals involved in this process enough. We are very excited to engage in this type of relationship with the goal of further serving the needy, hungry, and homeless.
Student-Athletes at Stevens have joined the mission of Athletes C.A.R.E., taking our mission to their school.
This spring, the Athletes C.A.R.E. team has a lot on its plate. In the coming months, the organization will be hosting an ALL-OR-NOTHING Campaign with the goal of raising $1,000 for the Roof Over for Women and Children, a homeless shelter in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Any and all donations will be pending until the $1,000 goal is reached – if the goal is not reached, the donors will be returned their money, and unfortunately, we will not reach our donation goal for the Roof Over shelter.
Here’s how the campaign will work –
We will post our promotional video online to be shared through the various social networking avenues. We will ask that anyone interested in helping, donate to the cause and share the video so that we can receive as much exposure as possible for the campaign. The campaign will last for roughly a two month period with the ultimate goal of raising $1,000 to help the Roof Over for Women and Children purchase the necessary items such as pillows, blankets, bedding, and the like, to further furnish their facilities.
Please look for the video and be sure to share it with friends and family, as well as join the cause by donating to help those in need. The campaign will begin by the end of February, so be on the look out! Thank you all for your help.
